The last year, maybe, was not the best year for many of us, but New Year’s Eve is definitely a great occasion to reset yourself for a better mood. And the best way to do so is to kick off with celebration. These are some of the ideas to inspire you for an amazing New Year’s Eve party.
Organize a thematic party
The choice can be great here. It can be a disco party theme in the style of the 70s with its gold maxi dresses and platform shoes, epic music and sparkling disco ball. You can also try to arrange a decade party theme by choosing your favourite decade. What do you think about 1920’s with glamorous costumes, amazing jazz and Gatsby-inspired party decorations? Another good idea could be a masquerade party theme - it will never go out of style. A champagne party could also be great - decorate your house in the gold-themed style starting from the napkins and curtains, add champagne bottle or glittered-filled balloons, ask your guests or loved ones to wear sparkly and glittery outfits, and on top of that arrange a champagne bar. Otherwise, you could also arrange a wine tasting party theme and play the role of sommelier for the night. The other party theme could be a Wonderland theme - surrounding ourselves with fantasy or fairy tale motives can bring us back to childhood and revive in us those forgotten feelings of unconditional childhood happiness.
For those who would like to enjoy a more passive and relaxed party style, you could think of a movie marathon or a pajama party.
But whatever is the style or theme of your party make sure to decorate your home - it will tune you and your guests in a celebratory mood.
Plan a party game
Nowadays, there is a great variety of table games. The old good game is a game of charades. You can also arrange a new year resolution or a wish jar - put the jar with blank cards and motivate people to write their resolutions or wishes. Later in the night, you can then read them aloud all together - who knows maybe you will get some amazing inspiration from others? Try yourself at the mixology - let everyone prepare their own favorite cocktails. Or treat you guess with a fondue - does not fondue feel a bit like a game? It can also be to try karaoke - belting out your favorite songs always makes for a good time together.
Arrange a photo conner
We all love making pictures to keep those precious moments of happiness and joy. Prepare the corner where you will take those precious photos. For example, photos next to Christmas tree will convey a festive mood. Given that the countdown to midnight
is an integral part of New Year’s Eve tradition, the wall with a countdown balloon or a huge cartoon clock (be creative, and do it yourself!) on it will make your photos just adorable!
Happy New Year!
